Synopsis

Korea. Kan・Sane's parents are a dispersed family. His father died without managing to return to North Korea. Kan・Sane's debut song, "Raguyo", was a hit, and in his tune he sings about his feelings towards his parents. The first stop for Kan・Sane, who keeps singing about the tragedy of his homeland broken up into North and South, was Japan to meet Imawano Kiyoshiro. The journey started off by visiting him, Kiyoshiro sings "Longing for North Korea" in Budokan. Kiyoshiro and Kan・Sane, they talked, sang and drunk all night. This was an intimate encounter for both professionals.
Next stop of the journey was a meeting with the legendary female singer, Mary. She was born in Okinawa, born to an American military father and a Japanese mother. Mary went back to Okinawa after thirteen years in order to settle with her own fate. Okinawa, a place she never wanted to return to, sparked by a feud between her and her mother, a rebellion against Okinawa. Mary stood on stage in Okinawa, something she never dreamt off. The song is called "Asian Rose", which she composed with Kan・Sane. The song is about peace of minds and hope. Mary's new life started by overcoming her fate.
Philippines. Joy Alaya is a man, once a journalist and now a musician. He was taught the fact that journalists are powerless, being helpless for his people, left with nothing but being able to cry at the site of terror and bombs. Based on this experience, Alaya turned the experience into a song.
The Philippines is a country of American pop music. Against the major trend, Grace Nono is sticking to the tradition and looking for her own identity. The bomb terror really occurred on the way to see the two. The death toll climbed to twenty, and two hundreds of people were injured either slightly or seriously at Dabao international airport. In this country where the smell of power, namely smoke never ends, the song, "At the beach of paradise", made by Kan・Sane and Alaya started being played in the sudden heavy rain. People always know how to entertain themselves in difficult conditions. That is the toughness of Asia.
Back in Korea, Kan・Sane’s brother, Yung Dohyong held a demonstration alone against America's attack on Iraq and sending Korean troops to Iraq. The number, "Stars of Hanoi", which Yung Dohyong, Korea's number one rocker, sang about America contains a powerful and beautiful message of resistance.
Indonesian rock group, Slank, also launched their national tour against the attack on Iraq. Drugs, violence, ethnic divisions; in the country where such sparks never disappear, Binbin, the leader of Slank, put a period on his drug experience and keeps calling on the young for love and peace.
The two groups, Yung Dohyong and Slank, met in Indonesia and the song they composed together was "Shout Asia". The shout of Asia burst. The shout of the two groups overlaps straight to the shout of the young of Asia.
Kan・Sane's journey slowly comes to the end.
China, Beijing. "Arilan" sang by a young group called Arilan. The Korean rap Arilan sung by them. The group is from the village in Korea, in the northeastern region of China is the one accepted in China for the first time. The place where Kan・Sane and Arilan headed off to is the home village of Arilan’s members. The village on the border to North Korea is called "Tomon". The village of Kan・Sane's father is visible just across the Tomankou.
The parents of Kan・Sane who could not go back to North Korea, grandparents of Arilan's leader who could not go back to Korea, grandmother of a member of Kan・Sane who could not go back to China, three dispersed families interlace. Why did people draw a line as a border in space? What kind of war is this, which tore apart parents and their children, brothers and sisters, and relatives?
Seoul. All musicians who met on this journey met up in Seoul. They wove up "Shout of Asia" with Kan・Sane in the middle. The title is "Hana". There is only one message with this song. "Hana" means "we are the one". Hoping the shout of Asia becomes unified and can reach out to the world, they sang in their own languages but feeling the same.
The concert began engulfing ten thousands of young people into the wave of fever.
The journey never ends. A new journey starts at the bottom of one's heart.
